Vusani Isizwe Mawundlu Dance Group

Vusani Isizwe Mawundlu, a proudly South African entity, has been operating in KwaZulu Natal (Durban) since 2009. Established as a legal entity in 2013, it stands as a testament to resilience and compassion. Founded by Ms. Thokozani Princess Zulu and Mr. Malusi Ndlovu, along with their esteemed colleagues in the performing arts, the organization is 100% black-owned.
The name “Iwundlu” (a Zulu word) signifies both “one young animal” and “numerous young animals.” It embodies the belief that greatness knows no age or size. Vusani Isizwe Mawundlu’s mission is to uplift vulnerable unemployed individuals in their community.

The organization’s Zulu-speaking members excel in various African cultural activities, including:
Djembe/ uGubhu Drumming
Sepedi (Dinaka) from the Bangwaketse tribe
Setswana (Setapa and Tsutsube)
Vha-Venda (Malande, Tshikona, and Matangwa)
Xitsonga (Xibelani)
Xhosa (Umxhenso)
Gumboots
Zulu Zulu Dance (Mzansi, Ivolo, and Ingoma Girls)
