Early Days & The Rasta Rebels Emerge – Starting with his band CC Beat, Dr. Victor’s musical journey was influenced by Afro-pop and American favourites. By the late 80s, the band, led by Victor’s evolving sound, craved the spotlight. A chance encounter with a new label led to a session project that became a surprise hit – The Rasta Rebels were born, with tracks like “Give Me Hope Jo’Anna” topping charts.
Solo Success & Global Recognition – A true creative spirit, Dr. Victor explored solo ventures alongside The Rasta Rebels’ success. His solo albums and hit renditions garnered him prestigious opportunities, opening for icons like Paul Simon. Awards and a live album with Gallo Records, “Faya,” further solidified his international presence.
Reunited & Reaching New Heights – Reuniting with The Rasta Rebels, they released chart-topping albums like “The Best Of” featuring “I Love To Truck,” and continued touring success. Dr. Victor also released additional solo albums, solidifying his presence. The new millennium saw them conquer international stages. A “Greatest Hits Album” and live DVD capped off the decade.
The “Doctor” & The Legacy – His nickname, “Dr. Victor,” originated from a studio fix with a soldering iron, showcasing his resourcefulness. Today, Dr. Victor & The Rasta Rebels remain a powerhouse, captivating audiences worldwide with their energetic live shows.
