Melorie Jane, a contemporary jazz virtuoso from Cape Town, is acclaimed for her
innovative Afro funk jazz fusion. Her energetic and original arrangements have made waves in the jazz scene.
Her debut album, More or Less (2021), was a groundbreaking success, earning nominations in five categories at the 2022 Mzantsi Jazz Awards and winning both Best Jazz Album and Best Female Jazz Artist. This album topped the charts on Vuka Online Radio for 11 months and was praised by Metro FM’s Nothemba Madumo as “absolutely brilliant.”
Beyond her solo career, Melorie Jane leads The Melorie Jane Quintet, recently featured
