Meet Rory Petzer: Radio Star, Comedic Genius, and All-Around Entertainer

With nine years of radio experience under his belt, Rory Petzer is the Executive Producer and co-host of East Coast Drive with Damon Beard. Rory is a powerhouse in the industry, boasting three MTN Radio Awards.

When he’s not in the studio or waiting for his double shot cappuccino, Rory shines as a professional comedian, writer, entertainer, and MC, regularly performing across KZN.

In February 2016, Rory graced one of the year’s most prominent national comedy events, The Kings and Queens of Comedy at the Durban ICC. Sharing the stage with eleven of the country’s top comedy acts, he entertained 5000 spectators.

Rory’s talent has also taken him to the Soweto Theatre, where he was headhunted by the Savanna Comics Choice Awards in 2014. He averages five comedy gigs per month in and around Durban.
Rory is happiest on stage with a microphone in hand, effortlessly transitioning from a pub full of sailors to a formal corporate event to a golf day. His comedic versatility knows no bounds.

As KZN’s official Man of Movember, Rory represents the province with pride and dedication. His Movember efforts earned him a spot on the cover of the November 2015 edition of Get it Durban magazine.
